Quba Mosque
It is the first mosque in Islam. The Prophet (ﷺ) with his own blessed hands, laid the foundation stone of the mosque, which was built by the emigrants and the helpers (ansar). Allah extolled this mosque and mentioned its virtues in the everlasting Qur'an, "A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in." (9:108)
Al-Qiblatain Mosque
It is one of the most important historical mosques in Madinah. In this mosque, Allah honored the Prophet (ﷺ) and fulfilled his wish by shifting the qiblah direction from Jerusalem to the Kaaba: (We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased) [Qur'an 2:144].
Al-Miqat Mosque
It is one of the most important historical landmarks of Madinah. On their way to the Sacred Mosque of Makkah, pilgrims from or passing through Madinah stop at this mosque. Here they give up all worldly appearances and put on Ihram garments in their journey of faith, hoping only for Allah's mercy and reward in the Hereafter.
Al-Ghamamah Mosque
Today, it is 200 meters away from the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque. It was one of the Prophet's prayer grounds, to which he would go out to lead people in Eid and rain-invoking prayers. It embraces memories of the Prophet's life and the fragrant civilizational history of Muslims.
Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Mosque
It is a prophetic prayer ground, 150 meters away from the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque. The prophet (ﷺ) performed Eid prayer on this site, a practice followed by his first successor, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, after whom the mosque was named later.
Omar ibn Al-Khattab Mosque
It is an Eid and rain-invoking prayer ground of the second caliph, Omar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.
Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque
It is One of the Prophet's Eid prayer grounds, named after Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, the caliph of the Muslims and son-in-law of the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him. It still stands today as an eternal prophetic hallmark, testifying to the companions' strict adherence to the Prophet's legacy.
Bani Unaif mosque
It is a historical mosque built on a site where the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed. Muslims visit it today to see its unique architectural style, and recall the relevant events in the life of the Prophet and his companions.
Al-Jumah Mosque
It is a Prophetic prayer ground blessed with the virtue of precedence. It is the place where the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed the first Friday prayer in Madinah after his emigration from Makkah. It is about 2,300 meters away from the Prophet’s Mosque.
Al-Suqya Mosque
In this place, blessings overflowed and multiplied for the people of Madinah by virtue of the supplication of the Prophet (ﷺ). In this mosque, the Prophet (ﷺ) declared Madinah as a sanctuary, just as Ibrahim declared Makkah a sanctuary.
The Seven Mosques
The Seven Mosques are a destination for visitors of Madinah. They are a group of modest mosques, built near the site of the Battle of the Trench to commemorate this memory.
Al-Ijabah Mosque
A mosque honored by the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer in it, and praying to his Lord for three things, of which two were granted.
Al-Sajdah Mosque
When the Prophet (ﷺ) received the good tidings that whoever invokes blessings upon him will be blessed by Allah in return, he prostrated in gratitude for this good news. So, at this place of prostration was established the mosque.
Bani Haritha Mosque
An antique mosque that testifies to the incidents of the Battle of Uhud.
Al-Fateh Mosque
It is one of the mosques in which the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed to his Lord to defeat the confederates who had gathered around Madinah to fight the Muslims. His prayer was answered on Wednesday afternoon.
Al-Anbariyah Mosque
A historic mosque built in the traditional style, and is located at the last station of the Hejaz Railway.
Al-Sheikhain Mosque
It is an antique mosque built in the place where the Prophet (ﷺ) camped and inspected his army on the way to the Battle of Uhud, and chose those who would be fit to fight among his companions. He performed Asr, Maghreb, and Isha prayers in this place and stayed there over the night.
